Bookish Scenes | January

I’m very happy about all the reading moments I’ve been able to cut out during January! I’ve read three books and a short story, but I also snapped tons of bookish photos and that’s new to me.

In order to help myself to stay on track of my reading goals this year, I decided to join a couple of weekly photo challenges. I can’t commit on a daily basis, but one/two photos per week is doable for me. I discovered them a bit late, that’s why some photos are missing.

Bookish Scene: Project 52 hosted by @wordrevel and @whatgeorgiedid

It’s about photography and showcasing books to fit weekly themes. You can read all the rules and register here.

I don’t like to use many props for my photos, I like a little bit of minimalism. Let’s play a game: see how many times I’ll be able to use books from my favorite fandoms along the year (i.e. LOTR and Harry Potter) πŸ˜€

#WeeklyBookstagram hosted by @bookaddictsguide

Love book photo challenges but can’t keep up with the one-a-day posts? Then #weeklybookstagram is for you! It’s a once-a-week photo β€œchallenge” with a different theme each week. You can find all the info here.

Again, Harry Potter and Tolkien themed books! πŸ™‚

Now the challenges.

Grow your TBR pile responsibly and read the books you already own. You have β€˜em, now read β€˜em!

  1. Red’s Untold Tale by Wendy Toliver
  2. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
  3. The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle – “A Scandal in Bohemia” (from The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes)

Re-read your favorite books.
I didn’t re-read any book this month, but I’m planning to re-read The Silmarillion sometime soon.
Have you read any interesting book during January?
